The Spylaw, a popular pub situated in the heart of Colinton village in Scotland, was in need of a new hard-wearing floor that could withstand heavy footfall for many years to come. The designers approached JackEvie, a leading manufacturer of high-quality wood flooring, to create a mix of herringbone and plank flooring that would not only be durable but also complement the new decor.

After carefully assessing the needs of The Spylaw, JackEvie recommended using engineered oak planks for the flooring. The golden hues of the floor was perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in the pub, and the engineered construction ensured that the floor would be able to withstand heavy foot traffic without warping over time.

In addition to the flooring, JackEvie also created a unique whitewashed herringbone feature wall to add a rustic focal point to the space. The herringbone pattern added visual interest to the wall, while the whitewashed finish helped to create a cohesive look with the rest of the decor.
